A custom candle box is packaging built around a glass vessel: a rigid or corrugated carton with an insert that grips the jar, enough wall strength to survive a parcel network, and a finish that communicates the scent and price tier before the customer opens it.

What are custom candle boxes?
Glass is the constraint. A 220 g candle jar concentrates its weight low and shatters on point impact, so candle packaging needs either a corrugated insert that suspends the jar away from the walls, or a snug rigid cavity that prevents movement entirely. Loose candles in a plain carton are the most common breakage claim in home fragrance.
Presentation carries unusual weight in this category because scent cannot be sampled online. Soft-touch lamination, foil scent names and a printed interior do measurable work in signalling price tier, which is why premium candle brands consistently over-invest in packaging relative to unit cost.
Candle ranges also rotate constantly — seasonal scents, limited editions, collaborations. A neutral box with a printed sleeve or belly band per scent is nearly always cheaper than fully printed boxes for a 12-scent range, and it lets you add a scent without a new box run.

How do I stop candle jars breaking in shipping?
Use a corrugated suspension insert or a snug rigid cavity so the glass never contacts the box wall and cannot move. Loose jars in a plain carton are the single most common breakage claim in home fragrance.
What size box do I need for an 8 oz candle jar?
Roughly 3.5 x 3.5 x 4.5 in for a standard 220 g / 8 oz jar, but jar diameters vary between suppliers. Send us a physical jar and we will build the insert and box around it exactly.
How do I package a range of many scents affordably?
Use a neutral tray or base box with a printed sleeve or belly band per scent. Running one structural component plus cheap versioned sleeves is far less expensive than a separate printed box for each scent.
Can candle boxes be used both in retail and for shipping?
